Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy describes cookies and similar technologies used by TeachNews on https://teachnews.de. Durations marked “owner verification” must be confirmed against live browser storage and vendor documentation before production reliance.
1. What we mean by cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and tags.

Advertising — Google AdSense / Google advertising cookies and identifiers (third-party): only if AdSense is enabled and advertising consent is granted. Exact names and durations: owner verification via browser and Google documentation after go-live.
Analytics — Google Analytics cookies (third-party): only if a measurement ID is configured and analytics consent is granted. Durations: owner verification.
Other — Google Fonts CDN requests (third-party network contact; typically no TeachNews first-party cookie). YouTube nocookie embeds may set third-party cookies after an embed loads.
3. Consent and Cookie settings
Optional categories (preferences, analytics, advertising) are off by default. Closing the banner without choosing does not grant optional consent.
Re-open choices anytime via “Cookie settings” / “Cookie-Einstellungen” in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops future optional TeachNews-controlled scripts and clears first-party optional storage where technically possible. TeachNews cannot delete unrelated third-party cookies on other domains.
A consent version is stored so material policy changes can request a new decision.
4. Certified CMP for personalized ads (EEA/UK/CH)
Personalized ads in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland require a Google-certified CMP with IAB TCF. Configure Google Privacy & messaging for teachnews.de in AdSense and publish the European regulations message before enabling personalized ads. See docs/ADSENSE_DASHBOARD_SETUP.md in the repository.
